At Kingborough Family Church our mission can be summed up in two words – Changing Lives. As a church we want to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals by helping them to know how much God loves them and all that He has done for them through Jesus Christ. We want people to discover their unique talents, gifts, abilities, passions and purpose in life and be equipped to serve others in caring community. We are committed to working together to bring the message and life-changing ministries of Jesus Christ to Kingborough, the wider Hobart community and beyond. We are convinced that church is for everyone, including hurting, lonely, confused and lost people who need to experience love, acceptance, forgiveness, hope, care, and encouragement. We recognise that most people who personally discover God’s love for them do so through the story of a friend or family member, and so we encourage church members to be involved in various connect groups and take the opportunity to share faith stories with others. As the faith journey begins for people, we seek to help them experience fellowship, support, and personal and spiritual growth and development in caring community through a variety of small groups and programs. As on-going growth and personal development occur, people are equipped to fulfil the purpose that God has for their life, and enthusiastically share their story and journey with others also. We choose not to limit what God can do with small thinking. He has a vision for the universe. We want everyone to have the opportunity to find out what God has done for them in sending Jesus Christ.
