Special Services and Events

Special services are organized to reach out into the community.  They include Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day & Christmas.  Events are coordinated with the Worship Team, Evangelism Team and Pastors.

Global Missions:

Since its inception Kingborough Family Church has provided support to Project Genesis in Thailand up until the time the project became self- funded. Since then we have supported missionary work in Vanuatu over several years. Currently we provide support for David and Tania Strong who are working in China. Several years ago many individuals and families at Kingborough Family Church decided to support children in Uganda through International Needs Ministry. More recently some have provided the same kind of support through Compassion. Open Doors is another overseas ministry that we support individually and corporately.            

Pakistan

Miracles come in a variety of ways, and Apostolic Global Operations-led initiative in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has birthed miraculous results. In a country which does all it can to undermine the rights of non Muslims, especially Christians, Apostolic Church assemblies continue to grow at an amazing rate. From one small assembly in 1994 to over 120 assemblies today is remarkable, even miraculous. This miracle is not just the accumulation of statistics, it is people. Men and women, boys and girls, families and communities whose lives have been touched and transformed by God working in and through His church. Kingborough Family Church has a program that sponsors the purchase of motorbikes to assist the Pastors in the area of Pakistan.

India

Kingborough Family Church is committed to reaching out to the would around us with the good news that God loves them.  Over recent years members of the congregation have been involved in missions trips to India for the purpose sharing the Gospel and training leaders, planting churches and caring for the needy.  As we partner with other organisations, we are trusting for a great harvest of souls.

Operation Christmas Child

Be a blessing to the children of poor nations.  It’s easy!  Simply find a shoe-box to decorate, or use one of the ready-made boxes and fill it with small, inexpensive gifts.  The boxes are then collected and sent overseas ready for Christmas.
Participants: Everybody is encouraged to participate.
When: September to October each year
Location:  Kingborough Family Church
Requirements:  A heart for the poor and a willingness to follow the guidelines.

Fund Raising Chocolates

In order to support the Apostolic Missions in Pakistan and China, a group from the church sell chocolates and confectionary through approximately 40 outlets located from Kingston to Glenorchy.  Some outlets are serviced weekly, whilst the majority three weekly. Funds raised this year are expected to be in excess of $5,000.
Participants: An enthusiastic group aged 16 to 50+
When: Weekly on Mondays 9 to 2.30 p.m., Thursdays every third week 9 to 2:30 p.m.
Location: Based at Kingborough Family Church, 11 Glory Pl, Huntingfield.
