We are a community and there are numerous opportunities to assist each other in reaching our potential in Christ.  Volunteering opportunities also enable a person to contribute within the  framework of their life journey.

Receptionist

Located at the church office, the Church Receptionist function is shared with a number of volunteers and performs secretarial, reception, telephone answering, clerical and cleaning functions including greeting the public in a pleasant professional manner.  Interaction will also include working with numerous departments and volunteers within the church community. 
When: Office is open Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Requirements: Regular attender of the church and reliable in attendance and punctuality

Notice-board / Advertising Coordinator

Around the church building are numerous notice boards aimed at clearly communicating what’s happening, where and when. The boards may be used for advertising such things as community outreach; overseas missions; youth activities; training opportunities; rosters; flyers and posters; other groups such as social activities and general notices etc.

To ensure that all notices are in line with the church vision, it is vital that no one except the coordinator places things directly onto the notice board(s). All items are to be submitted to the coordinator a week prior to being placed on display.

Sermon Recording & Production

The production of CD’s of sermons preached at Kingborough Family Church are available to all.
When: Produced during the week after Sunday services.
Location: At the recording / duplicating sound desk at Kingborough Family Church.

Working Bees

Come and join the fun when a couple of times a year a working bee of volunteers are organized to make a concerted effort to ensure the church building and surrounding grounds are given an extra amount of care.  In addition to the regular maintenance that goes on all year round, extra effort is put into the cleaning, painting, maintenance, landscaping and gardening of the facility.
Participants: All able bodied people
When: On a Saturday, two to three times per year.
Location:  Kingborough Family Church
Requirements:  A willingness to help see the vision of KFC fulfilled

Garden Maintenance

A team of dedicated workers maintain the church grounds on a regular basis.  This involves mowing lawns, weeding, planting, tidying up, and ensuring the property is presented well and provides a welcoming and pleasant experience for visitors.
Participants: All-able bodied volunteers
When: At regular times suitable to those who are prepared to help, usually Saturdays
Location:  Kingborough Family Church
Requirements:  A willingness to help see the vision of KFC fulfilled

Building Project Committee

A team of people who meet to discuss major church property and building issues to facilitate the vision of             Kingborough Family Church.
Participants: Team of five

Welcoming Team

The Welcoming Team function is to ensure that all visitors are welcomed, cared for, informed and helped to start the process of  integration into the life of the church. The function is broken into four important areas:
Carpark Attendants: These will be the first friendly faces a visitor sees and they are to direct them where to park, giving them preferred parking.
Greeters: A welcoming contact for all those who enter the church.  Greeters are to introduce visitors to Hosts.
Hosts: To greet visitors, explain where facilities are and follow up after the service with further social contact.
Ushers: To ensure visitors are made comfortable and are seated in appropriate seating.

Team members are also to be active in making contact with visitors during social time after church services.
Participants: Mature Christians who are in regular fellowship at KFC

Requirements: A love for people.

Kitchen Ministry

This is a great opportunity for fellowship with other like minded people who have servant hearts.  A great ministry that loves to serve the Lord by serving others.  Working on a roster system you will assist with serving refreshments and food after Sunday Services as well as on special church occasions.
Participants: Willing Volunteers
When: Mainly after Sunday Services
